Our Leadership

Ben and Jo Wilson are the senior leaders of Bethel Melbourne, sent and commissioned by Bethel Church with a deep hunger to see the Kingdom of God established on earth as it is in Heaven. Carrying a long-awaited God-given dream in their hearts, they stepped out in radical faith, surrender, and obedience to plant a church in the vibrant city of Melbourne—believing for revival, transformation, and a fresh move of the Holy Spirit across Australia, the Great South Land of the Holy Spirit.

Born and raised in South Australia, the Wilson’s hunger for more of God led them and their three young children to move across the globe to Redding, California in 2011 to attend Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry (BSSM). Over the following 14 years, their family was deeply marked by the teaching, culture and community of Bethel Church. 

In 2013, Ben became a commissioned pastor at BSSM, where he faithfully served and grew through a variety of leadership roles. Most recently, he served as the Manager of BSSM Online Second Year, equipping and empowering students from around the world to live as modern-day revivalists—carrying the Matthew 10 commission into everyday life through wholehearted surrender and devotion to Jesus, accompanied by signs, wonders, and miracles.

At the core of Ben and Jo’s vision is a wholehearted pursuit of Jesus. They carry a deep conviction that His presence must remain the highest priority—that ministry flows first unto the Lord before it ever flows to people. In all that they do, they desire to move at the speed of God: drawing close to His voice, walking in surrender to the Holy Spirit, and building His Church His way.

Ben and Jo carry a passion to see an individual, community, city and nation transformed by His presence. Their heart for Bethel Melbourne is to see a remnant of passionate, burning ones raised up—a people fully surrendered to Jesus, marked by holiness, hunger, and unwavering devotion. A community that hosts the presence of God, carries revival, and lives to make Him known.

The Wilsons long to see people awakened to their identity as beloved sons and daughters of a good Father, living with bold faith, humility, joy, and deep dependence on the Holy Spirit. With a fierce love for the Word of God, and a hunger for an authentic move of the Spirit, their desire is to raise up wholehearted lovers of Jesus who carry Heaven into every sphere of society.

Their prayer is to see Melbourne become a resting place for His presence and a city transformed by the reality of Immanuel—God with us.
